They encouraged her not to pursue music solely for pleasure or as a means of growing, but that she should explore it. She started writing songs of her own. Bjork and Leonard Cohen are among her favorite writers. Her mother had told her the songs she wrote were not meant to gain fame for her but instead to inspire people to see their own value and impact in this world, she started singing them in public. As a young girl she started playing the piano and at nine, started writing songs. It wasn't until her 14th birthday when she shared her story with her parents. Aurora had no idea of being a famous singer. She claims that she simply enjoys writing songs. According to her, the music she writes is the way that she feels anything.
